Just my opinion....How do you clean windows ?

Many, many, many years ago we had steel sash windows with inside storm windows. Horrible, horrible windows. Spring time going into summer time, I approached my glazier husband, hammer in hand and said the windows get cleaned today, one way or another. So bucket and newspaper in hand, we set about our task. I told him this was a dual effort and he was not going to sit and read the paper while I worked. To my surprise the newspaper were the "paper towels."  They make the BEST cleaning tool. No streaks, no lint, no extra expense. So even after we replaced all our windows with beautiful vinyl windows that drop into the house for cleaning and my glazier husband no longer had to help, I still use the newpaper. By the way, I do prefer the Sunday funnies for this job. Really.

WHY DO MY WINDOWS LOOK DIRTY....... | Coeur d'Alene-Hayden Glass Company

Dirty Window?

Do you have double or triple pane windows? It could be that your insulating units have lived out their life. Chances are the seal has failed and is allowing moisture to get in between the glass.

How do you clean windows that won't come clean?

These units cannot be repaired, they need to be replaced. The whole window? No, just the glass. Replace the whole window if you want, but that is not necessary to clear up the view.

Tempered Glass | Coeur d'Alene-Hayden Glass Company

Tempered glass is not glass with a pleasant attitude. Tempered glass is a glass that has been heat treated. The tempering process makes tempered glass harder and stronger than regular glass.

Tempered Glass Safety

Tempered glass becomes a safety material used in specific applications where regular glass cannot legally be used. If tempered glass breaks, it will break into small pebbles that are less likely to cause severe injury than the large shards of regular glass.

Tempered Glass Uses

Samples of where tempered glass must be used are all doors (including shower doors), any window next to a door, or any window within 24 inches of the ground.
